Great Christian Academy’s (GCA) auditorium was flooded with reds and greens as the academy celebrates its first-ever annual Christmas program last December 13, 2018.
The program opened with an Opening Prayer led by Crisha Joy Casison. It was followed by a doxology of GCA Choir with the song “Born Is The King When Love Was Born.”
Performances from the GCA’s own Dance Club and all the departments made the Christmas program all the more enjoyable. Kids from Preschool Department danced to the tunes of “Jingle Bells.”
Students in the Grade School Department stepped up the game with their cute performances! Each grade danced to the beat of popular Christmas songs, too. Grade 1 came strong with their classic “Jingle Bells” song, Grade 2 with their pop song “All I Want For Christmas is You,” Grade 3 with “Happy Birthday Jesus,” Grade 4 with the Pinoy favorite “Star ng Pasko,” and Grade 5 taking a rock genre with “Jingle Bell Rock.” Grade 6 students raised the bars high with their re-enactment of the Story of Nativity.
The spirit of Christmas can be seen everywhere in the campus. Parents accompanied their kids in their classroom Christmas parties. The students were thrilled and excited to join their peers in merry-making. Every child is excited to win the exciting prizes of the fun games their teachers prepared for them.
More than the fun celebration of feast, games, and gift-giving, Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let’s always remember the true essence of every 25th December.
